Meeting with the Leaders (Week 1)

Every person is a new door to a different world.

Today, January 11, 2019 at 7:20 in the morning, Mrs. Uke, our coordinator pick us up going to Halu Oleo University to meet the rector and the head of the Department of Education in Kendari city. First stop was in the departments or buildings of different courses of the university. It is a very tiring day because, for you to be able to make rounds at Halu Oleo University, you must spend a one whole day to complete a tour in the university. I’m not exaggerating things but it is true! The wide area of Halu Oleo University is like a one subdivision in the Philippines . Next stop is in the office of Department of Education in kendari city. We met Mr. Asrun Lio and he gave us a very warm welcome. Afterwards, we try to ride pete-pete- a public transportation in kendari. It is like a jeepney in the Philippines but smaller. We went also to the trademark tower of kendari in which it is located in the middle of kendari city. While meeting new people, I made new friends and also I’ve realized that this is the purpose of this program. It is not just about sharing your knowledege inside the four walls of the classroom but also sharing knowledge and experiences to the people you meet and be able to learn from them as well.
