Fitness Day!

DATE: January 13, 2019 -4th Day

Today, Mr. Mustamin fetch us at 6:00 in the morning. We went to the open field of Halu Oleo University. When we arrived in the field, they are already starting the Zumba. I was so happy because dancing is one of my hobbies. While we are dancing, they noticed my energetic moves and praised me. After Zumba, the faculties of Halu Oleo University invited us to join them eating. They offered us the Mie Kwa, it is a noodle with egg and water. It tastes like a lapaz batchoy in the Philippines. While eating, I chatted with the teacher beside me. I interviewed her like what subject does she teaches and how it’s like to be a teacher in Halu Oleo University. It is nice to talk with the seasoned teachers while being a student teacher because you are learning from them and being inspired at the same time.

Attached photo above is the faculty that I’ve interviewed during meal time.

Lessons learned:

Today, I have learned on opening myself to people. Just like when I chatted the teacher beside me. She shared her experiences in teaching, by listening to her story, I am able to gained new knowledge that will help me during my stay in Indonesia. I also shared my stories and experiences being a student teacher. I am happy that I was able to open myself not just to one teacher, but also to my co-sea teachers because I also asking them on how do they teach inside the classroom, what do they usually do to make them understand by their students, and their strategies in teaching. By asking such questions, we were able to share and gain ideas that we can use for our practice teaching.
