Fifth Day (Observation week)

DATE: January 18, 2019- 9th Day

Today, I observe the P.E class of grade 4 and grade 5 students. Their P.E class is composed of two different grade level. While the other class are stretching, the other are demonstrating the proper workouts. While observing them, I can say that their teacher is very strict. Because the teacher got mad to the students who are noisy and some who don’t participate. She even punished them for being discordant. That is the one thing that I have observed during my stay in their school, the discipline. The way they discipline the students are very traditional they punish the students in which in the Philippines is now illegal to hurt the students. After the class, we were fetched by Mr. Sahrun, and told us that Mr. Mustamin will pick us up in our dorm to have a luch with his family. We ate a traditional food in Kendari which is the sinonggi. It is like a transparent flour that mixed with water. It is my first time to try sinonggi and it is very challenging to eat because you are not going to chew it. Instead, you are just going to swallow it.

Lessons Learned:

Today, I’ve learned on how do they discipline their students in their school. Because students in SDN84 kendari are all very disciplined and behaved. Now I know what disciplinary actions that they do to make their students behave. Today, I also enjoyed trying new things such as eating their traditional food. It was fun and a new experience for me to do such things and that makes my stay a memorable one!
