DATE: January 17, 2019- 8th Day
Today, I observed the class of Ibu Eni. She handles the grade 4 students. I learned a lot of teaching strategies from Ibu Eni. I observed that at the end of her class, she is having an educational game before letting her students go. She will ask the class to form a circle and then the pen will be pass around them, and if the music stops, the one who’s handling the pen will answer the question of ibu Eni regarding in their previous discussion. After the class of ibu Eni, I went to the other class of grade 4 students. As I was observing the class of grade 4 students, I can say that they are all smart and enthusiastic when it comes to learning. Today, they are presenting their pidato or speech in English term. While listening to their speeches, I was amazed and I really enjoyed in their class, because they delivered their speech with feelings and they read it clearly.
Lessons Learned:
Today, I’ve learned about some strategies in teaching the students. By integrating games in the lesson, it will help students to be more active and be engage in the learning process. Educational games are also important to make students retain what they have learned in the discussions. By this, I can say that it will help me to my future career as a teacher to manage and engage the class such as incorporating educational games whenever it is needed.
