Today, I observed the grade 6 class of Ibu Zatna. After she discussed the lesson, I asked her if it is okay to know my topics for my demo teaching week. She gave me a book titled “Bupena Kepemimpinan” I think the translation for the book is Leadership. I was shocked when I read the book because it was all written in Bahasa Indonesia. Every time I turn the page of the book, it is composed of different subjects. Unlike in the Philippines we have different books in every subject. My cooperating gave me the subjects which is the values, social studies, science, Bahasa Indonesia, and leadership. When I got home, I checked the google translation for the book immediately. Lessons Learned:
Today, I’ve learned to be flexible in my future career. Like what happened, I need to find ways on how will I understand the book that is written in Bahasa Indonesia. I need to think of the activities and on how my students will understand me. Because without planning a great strategy, my final demo will be failed and so am I. Though I am hesitating if I can do it, I still manage to be able to make some ways on how will I improve my teaching skills to prove that I am worthy to be part of the SEA Teacher program and to represent my university.
