Today, I was asked by the other teacher to observe in his class. I went to the grade 6 A class. The teacher asked me to teach English in his class. Even though I am not prepared, I still managed to teach the grade 6 class. I stand confidently and teach the English body parts to them. I remembered on how to teach the parts of the body by dancing and singing for a long-time retention. I taught them how to sing and dance the topic and they really enjoyed while doing such. Afterwards, to assess them, I asked them to play “Nose, nose, nose” I am not sure if that is the title of the game, because the game is very popular in the Philippines which called “ilong, ilong, ilong” it is like pointing thrice to the nose and say a body part and then the teacher will point other body part to confuse the students. They really enjoyed playing the game because it tests their knowledge about the English parts of the body and their concentrations skills.

Lessons Learned:

Today, I’ve learned the joy of sharing. Because I was able to share a Filipino game to my students. It is not just a typical game but an educational one. By this, students were able to retain the lessons and be able to improve their concentrating skills. I learned that teaching is not just focusing yourself in the books, but it is also a need to try new things and thinking other ways to teach them in which it may help students in their learning journey.
